Da pepen panini - parma italy

DA PEPEN PANINI

Prosciutto Cotto e Fontina was their ‘traditional’ panini, next time we will be more adventurous, the pork cutlet looked amazing!

When we visited Parma with my sister in law, she insisted that we must go here and get our lunchtime snack, who were we to argue. We like Panini, we loved Italian food and we trusted that Michela knew what she was talking about..

She wasn’t wrong!

Considered an institution in Parma, this ‘sandwich’ shop is a very popular spot for both locals and tourists alike. The queue was out the door, but in true Italian style, people waited patiently and the chatter and sipping of coffee and lunchtime apes made for a very pleasant wait.

Michela ordered for us, calling out is her perfect Italian for the Prosciutto Cotte e Fontina, delicious Italian ham & cheese. It was huge and it was delicious.

We sat on the bench outside and shared it between the few of us, then we quickly went back for more!
