where will you find yourself next?
“Not all those who wander are lost.”

Ever since I can remember and as i am always reminded by my family, my life has revolved around food and my pursuit of it. I wake and I consider my first meal, before I have finished that meal I have asked a series of questions as to what and where my next meal will be.
My days are spent travelling for food, flavours that excite my senses, evoke conversation and are formative in memories that I am making with loved ones.
to me, food goes hand in hand with travel. One is probably equal to the other in my life. Whether it be travelling to the local market to get fresh and seasonal produce to make a new dish or travelling over the ocean and down dirt tracks to find that perfect meat pie that takes me right back to my childhood spent in Australia (that’s a story for another time.)
OCEANS AWAY
Sometimes we are able to jet off somewhere far far away and it feels like that much more of an adventure.
To new climates and different scenery, new faces and new flavours of food. These holidays truly makes us feel that we are on an adventure. I love these types of trips. These occasions offer us memories that change us, that form us and that often make us see the world in a whole new way.
Last year we went on a trip of a lifetime, with my whole family, to celebrate my mum’s 70th Birthday.
We travelled as a group of 11, kids aged 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. It was challenging for us with a 2 year old boy and for everyone in their own ways. But when I reflect back on it, my overwhelming feeling is gratitude and joy. What an epic adventure!

WE LOVE TO TRAVEL
Me & my family
As teachers in the Private sector in the UK, my parents always had long holidays and as soon as term ended we were off. They loved to travel and after a teaching exchange near Melbourne Australia when I was 6 years old, they go the bug for seeing the world and so see the world we did.
We camped our way around Australia, we stopped off in Bali for 3 weeks where we sneakily accessed the pool at the next door hotel daily. Stopped off in Disney Land Orlando and experienced the all American holiday and sailed the seven seas in Turkey.
We explored Europe with a timeshare that took us to Portugal, where I was stung by a jellyfish, Spain, where we struggled through 52 degree heat in Seville, Scotland, where we paid our 50p heating metre through the night as it was so cold & many more brilliant countries.
Whether it be prawns cooked on the BBQ next to our camper van in Wilsons Prometary Australia or homemade bolognaise sauce that we pre made and carted all the way to France with us. Food and flavours play a huge part in the memories that I have of these adventures
