From the first breath of spring to the long sunsets of the end of summer, a pieds-dans-l’eau restaurant on the beach near Portofino, in the splendid bay of Paraggi.

We stumbled across this stunning location and most impressive restaurant when we were making our way from Santa Margherita to Portofino, via a lovely coastal walk.

Just around the bay from stunning Portofino, is this little cove. As you approach, you will see boats dropping anchor or docking at the small landing docks and people headed into this gorgeous restaurant for their seaside snacks, more formal dining or just afternoon spritz.

As we were led into the restaurant, still unsure as to what exactly we were headed into food wise, we could see people all around feasting on what looked to be very fresh and very appealing seafood. I got excited!

My mum jumped in head first and ordered Ferrari Prosecco & Lobster Linguine, my Dad was not thrilled..

I also order the Lobster linguine, to share with Lukasz and Freya had spaghetti all carbonara.

The sun was warm, the service friendly and the Prosecco flowing. Safe to say, as we sat there and looked out over the bay, we were not overly keen to head onwards. Sadly our 1 year old had other plans and after a very tasty espresso, we set off.

I would imagine that this place would be ideal for a lazy lunch with friends, enjoyed alongside sporadic dips into the sea and maybe one too many spritz..I can only imagine..
